Sam’s 18th Birthday Bash

Monday, September 3, 2007

Note to the remaining debutantes: Please opt for a venue that is proximate to metropolis. Marcos-Sumulong Highway is a no-no! Peace Sam!

Despite the remoteness of the location, Kringle, Errica, Dynna and I were able to come on time. Thanks Errica for the ride! Now that we speak of remoteness, the venue is situated in the far flung tundra of Antipolo, Rizal. The place is called Seven Suites Hotel-Observatory, based from the name itself, it commands a wide view of its surroundings. The entire region also provides a good view of the metropolis. It is conducive to long kwentuhans, or one can just suspend his buns, have coffee or wine and unwind from emotional strains that day.

The building also houses their own bar and restaurant, the Blue Moon Restaurant, and is located at the ground floor of the hotel. The place is well-lighted, comfortably ceilinged and lavishly cozy. Not to mention the indoor curtains and the upholstered couches. Their food should also be noted for its delectability and nutritiveness. If I were to rate the restaurant, I'd give them a 4 out of 5.

I need, uh Prozac

Sunday, August 26, 2007

I was deprived of a good sleep for the past three days. Yes, I took naps and caught some Z's, but those were just not enough. This is totally apparent in my gargantuan eye bags. Maybe if I were to suction the juice or flesh or whatever out of my eye bags, they will probably emanate the words stress, give-me-some-rest, academics and sleep-sleep-sleep-and-oh-sleep. Gibberish.

I am in extreme fatigue right now. I have not been eating well, too. I only ate pasta for the last three dinners. For breakfast, I had wheat bread, rice and steaks. Sounds rather well? Not quite. I, myself, can down one pound of meat in the course of one meal. I'm not kidding. Yes my breakfast for three days was composed of steaks and energy-giving foods, but they were extremely not proportionate with my regular intake of such, i.e. the one-pound of meat consumption.

Moreover, to help me stay awake, I had consumed five cups of coffee already. You can check it with the level of caffeine in my bloodstream. Two grande Cafe Mochas, one tall Cafe Mocha and  two grande Caramel Macchiatos. Go figure.

Post scriptum: Sorry for the sabaw atmosphere in this entry. You should know why.

It’s Christmas… NOT!

Wednesday, August 22, 2007

I will not accept boxer shorts anymore as Christmas gifts! I loathe them. In fact, I don't like wearing them. It feels awkward when your "weenie" is not secured. Okay, too much info.

What then do I want for Christmas? Only one thing. CRUMPLER BAG!

Either of the two model bags will do.

Man Utd, get a win… PUHLEASE!

Monday, August 20, 2007

Darn! Manchester United is off to a bad start this season!

Having drawn their first two matches, the team's current status in the league is rather alarming for us, United fans. Their latest battle against Manchester City was not either helpful for the team; Man Utd lost to Man City. Both teams have already played three games. In all of their matches, Man City outscored everyone else. Putting them at the top spot. On the other hand, the powerhouse Man Utd had lost in one of their games, which was against Man City, and their other matches resulted in a draw.

Shoutout to Rooney and others: "Wake up guys! Although it's only the start of the season, you should not rest on your laurels! Act like winners ya'll! Dominate in every aspect!"

Shoutout to Sir Ferguson: "Slap their faces, Sir, if you see the need of doing such. And, we are starving for a win. Please get one under your belts!"

Out of sheer boredom…

Friday, August 17, 2007

Funny, I don't normally feel sad about a suspended class for school. Usually, I herald such instance. I, however, regret for that "baon" which instantly went kaput.

What then is the result of the three-day suspension of classes? Bummmm-ness.

"See how germy the trash can is."

"Across our unit is Makati Sports Club."

Pedagogues

Wednesday, August 15, 2007

In a real world, teachers should get higher salaries than, say, baseball players. Apparently, that's not the status quo. Baseball players receive jillions of bucks by merely scoring a home run, hitting the baseball whether bluntly or powerfully, whatever the situation is, or by just catching the ball. Now, I must note that playing baseball is not as easy as a walk in the park. It is rather a strenuous sport wherein a player should develop biceps in order to swing a bat. Vigor is also an issue here. In a nutshell, baseball is not designed for the fainthearted.

But I am not convinced by these facts. I shall still stick to my belief that the teachers should be paid higher than Babe Ruth. Their efforts should be remunerated. After all, it is them who helped and molded the baseball players to become what they are today. They should get perquisites. Say, monthly subscription of Reader's Digest, or maybe Time Magazine or something to that effect. Nike should act as sponsors for their uniforms in the interest of professionalism. Moreover, Donna Karan, known for her delicate clothing designs, should create fashionable knitwears for them so to encourage lifestyle and aesthetic sense. All chalkboards shall be ditched away. Whiteboards, on the other hand, should be used in lieu of this. Chalkdusts are deemed to be bad for one's health, especially when they are inspired down. In order for the teachers to arrive in school on time, Porsche should sign a contract ratifying their obligation for these educators which is to give them away their latest car models.

These are just few of the millions of bills that I will work out if ever I get elected for public office. Then again, I suddenly come alive.

Oh, Snap!

Last Monday, I met up with Paul Irvin at Starbucks G4. I had to interview him for my video documentary about blogging. He is such a great help! Not only did he share his opinion about blogging, political blogging particularly, he also helped me on my documentary by charting out a list of people whom I should interview. In return , I treated him a frappé and a croissant. Thanks dude! He also tinkered with my digicam. Here are some of his photos:

I tried to take photos as well on my way home. I'm only a fledgling photographer, if I can even call myself that, so don't expect my first two photos to be grand.

Halt me

Monday, August 13, 2007

The next time I boot my PC, I would have to restrain myself from double clicking that The Sims 2 icon on my desktop. To really curb me from running this life-wrecking game program, I have no choice but to completely obliterate the software program,  so to promote academic productiveness. Wait, forget I said that. Scratch that out!

Okay, what I should do is to be more disciplined. Follow my list of tasks for the day. Don't postpone. But I can, however, dutifully engage myself in cramming. After all, I tend to be more yielding and productive under such circumstances. And look at the bright side, the semester will end soon. After I ditch my academic stuff, then I can successfully ruin my life by playing The Sims 2 all day! All day!

About the Dweeb

I was spawned in the same year Alfredo Stroessner was overthrown, and on the same day the Australian Capital Territory Legislative Assembly met for the first time.

I am currently in college, taking up Bachelor of Arts Major in Economics and Bachelor of Science in Commerce Major in Advertising Management. I hold two majors, ergo the academic bane I will be experiencing is doubled. But so far, I have not yet swooned, thank God.

I am a control freak. 'Nuff said.

My usual McDonald's meal is comprised of Quarter Pounder, large fries and Coke, extra gravy and vanilla milkshake.

It is in my nature to assume responsibility. I often contemplate about the complexity of life.

I tend to shrink from social contacts and become preoccupied with my own thoughts. I often isolate myself from the pool. Don't get me wrong though. I am not deprived of friends; in fact, I have a bunch of good chums. It is always quality over quantity for me. I don't go for braggy and ostentatious people; I loathe them.

I am not really adept in writing so pardon my tense inconsistencies of verbs, wrong usage of conjunctions and preposition, incorrect separation of paragraphs, faulty usage of colons and semi-colons, et cetera.

Respect begets respect. You're free to judge and read. But please observe proper netiquette - internet etiquette.
